The area of the Glacier 12 showing is underlain by rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. A grab sample of mafic volcanic rock with very fine disseminated chalcopyrite assayed 0.9 gram per tonne gold, 5 gram per tonne silver and 0.43 per cent copper (Sample 446973, Rock Sampling Data Sheet, Assessment Report 19783). Sample 446971, located about 200 metres south of sample 446973, consisted of faulted/fractured rock with chalcopyrite and gave very similar assays values.
